re: 9 to 5 UPDATE

Sounds very exciting!

Can anyone clue me in as to how large Kudisch's role is?

Are we talking leading man or supporting? Did he have a lot of stage time at the workshops?
[title of show] on Broadway. it's time. believe.

re: 9 to 5 UPDATE

Is Kudisch's part the part that Andy Karl played in the workshops? Very disappointing if so, I've been wanting to see him have his own decently sized role in a Broadway production, and was looking forward to seeing him in this.

Kelly -

Andy Karl's role in the last workshop was different from Kudisch's (Marc was a part of the last workshop as well in the part he's signed onto now). I think it's the role Norm Lewis played in an earlier reading, but exactly what that role is, I'm not sure, since I'm not superfamiliar with the film.

Well, I guess that leaves Hilty out of Vanities for 2008.

Wait...I thought Marry Pops was unable to tour? Is there going be a national tour coming up??

re: 9 to 5 UPDATE

InfiniteTheater-
I think Mark Kudisch's role may be the role Dabney Coleman had in the movie - the "bad guy", Frank Hart. It should be pretty substantial.
The Overture is part of the show, people. Please shut your pie hole.

So FREAKING exciting! I guess i'll be planning a trip to LA next fall :)

re: 9 to 5 UPDATE

Yeah, Kudisch is Mr. Hart, the Dabney Coleman role. I know that Kathy Fitzgerald (from The Producers) is confirmed as Margaret (aka "Atta, girl"). Does anyone know who is playing Roz? I'm assuming Bebe Neuwirth would not sign on to play what is probably a supporting role. Also, any idea who Andy Karl played in the last workshop? And wasn't Norm Lewis involved with this at some point too? At any rate, I'm ready for this show to get up and running and here on Broadway!

re: 9 to 5 UPDATE

The role of Mr. Hart was listed as a lead in the original casting call, I believe (the order then was: Violet, Judy, Doralee, Hart). Should be fairly substantial.
