i tried it in the ticket master box for 'special offer/discount codes' and it was unrecognised

That's a pretty steep discount. Show must not be selling.

However, it doesn't work (yet). I've tried through Broadwaybox who have the same code.

I already have a ticket but tried for the heck of it and it offered me a discounted seat.

Yankee, this discount code isn't that big, it's like most shows' discounts.

It's actually for $65 orchestra seats.

The availability is not very good at all. I keep getting side orchestra and rear orchestra for the dates I want to go.

I wound up in row m orchestra, dead center. I heard it's not a bad seat.

I happen to know for a fact that the show is selling really well for opening in this economy.

The discount is pretty steep but then again so are most shows' before they open unless they are recognizable name-shows. As others said, on top of the discount, the majority of seats that are available are so-so.

Hey, did those of you who actually used this do it over the phone? I agree with the others who've tried through the internet and come up with a message that the code's not valid, and the same code is featured on BroadwayBox...Is this another bait-and-switch scandal like the Springsteen affair?

Just a side note, I am leaving in about an hour to go see a new adaptation reading of The Unsinkable Molly Brown and Marc Kudisch (Who is in 9 to 5) will be part of the reading.

did you use it for the dates that the discounted? If you put the code on a date after it expired it won't work. I think this code expires March 31st

I entered the code, rather than cutting and pasting, and it worked.
We've now got tickets for Tuesday April 14th, the night we arrive from the UK, so no snoozing!
The discount is for performances to May 31st.

just used the code and it worked just fine. After several tries of just getting side orchestra seats, I did manage to get center M. Not so bad for the price.

I'm just here to agree with WickedRocks, I happen to know for a fact the show is selling VERY well. No worries. :) It's just a matter of getting the largest amount of people in seats for previews to generate good word of mouth. They'd rather sell out completely with 15% of the house being discounted than just hit 85%, which is a smart line of thinking in these economic times.

Guys, let's not start the "this show isn't doing very well thread." Virtually every show on Broadway has discount codes. This is nothing different - nothing unusual! Let's not make it something that it's not.
