Fair enough. I'm not really sure what your definition of a song "going somewhere" is. I imagine that since his character remains as he began and the story really is all about the girls, his songs serve a different purpose than to take the character somewhere? Not sure if I'm expressing that thought well or if I even understood your point correctly... anyway, it's late and I've procrastinated on what I should be working on long enough. I'll most definitely check in to continue the discussion later as the opening gets closer!

Saw the show on Saturday night, and Stephanie told me that they are still making changes.
The cast cd is being recorded on Monday, May 4th.

What I meant by a song "not going anywhere" is musically not thematically. I understand that his character isn't suppose to have this huge character arch and fall in love with one of the girls or something. That's fine with me. He's suppose to be an ass. But what I mean is that the song is just the same sort of chords/melody over and over again without much distinction. And then, instead of it ending with any sort of true "ending" it just sort of peters out.
