Posted: 8/4/09 at 4:13pmYes, rarely does a show extend past a close notice, not never.

Posted: 8/4/09 at 4:17pmAlso Rent was a show that ran for 12 years, recouped, was cheap to keep open, made a closing notice way in advanced, and extended way in advance to go through the summer while 9 to 5 is expensive to keep open, didn't recoup and the closing date is very soon.

Gee -- you named ONE show that extended once it posted it's closing...that rather DEFINES "Rarely".

Posted: 8/4/09 at 11:13pmThe last time I tried 9 to 5 lotto mine was the first name pulled but there were definatley 15-20 people who left without tickets and this was on a Tuesday. I'm sure that since the majority of lottories are 2 hours before show time a lot of people who lose at Hair, Wicked,In the Heights, WSS, and Avenue Q try their luck at 9 to 5 or Rock of Ages a half hour later. I had planned to try 9 to 5 lotto tomorrow night but if Stephanie is still out sick I guess I will try another show.

"that means the theatre was pretty full for a sunday matinee...that cant be normal can it?"
Well considering it was a weekend and in the summer, I would say it is pretty normal, even for a show that has falling attendance.
9 to 5 probably sees less attendance during the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening shows.

Posted: 8/19/09 at 4:02pmHow did you call the box office? Those are unlisted telephone numbers that aren't given out to the public. If you call the telephone number listed for each show you are actually calling telecharge or ticketmaster and those ticket agents rarely have accurate information.
