A "Christian" Version of RENT?

It's called LENT and will be performed only during the 40 days prior to Easter.

That actually sounds really uplifting, I can't wait for that. Isn't Jenna Bush part of the cast?

I thought "Lent" was the Japanese version of Rent.

I have the Japanese cast recording of Rent.
It doesn't really sound like that.
Of course, that's because it's in Japanese. re: A 'Christian' Version of RENT?

re: A 'Christian' Version of RENT?

Yes, LENT. Mimi, Roger, Tom, & Angel all have Leprosy instead of AIDS. no one is gay or a cross dresser. Roger is trying to start a Christian rock band. Mimi dances with City Ballet. Mark is doing a documentary on the life of Jesus. Maureen has no need to protest, because there are no homeless in LENT. The whole thing takes place in Salt Lake City instead of the East Village. I'm sure this would be a big hit across RED America.

God I loved "Lease" the musical...

That was one of the most outstanding moments in the film...

That and the "d!cks and Pussies and arseholes" speech...
