A Capitol Fourth Megan vs Kelli

So, I was watching A Capitol Fourth on PBS, and I noticed that this year Kelli O'Hara did many of the same things Megan Hilty did last year or the year before. They sang mainly the same songs, at the same times. They even had the same dress colors for these different songs.

The year before last year:
Megan sang a patriotic medley in a short blue dress.

This year:
Kelli sang a patriotic medely in a short blue dress.

Last year:
Megan sang "Strike up the band" to introduce the fireworks in a short red dress

This year:
Kelli sang "Strike up the band" to introduce the fireworks in a short red dress

So I just thought it was funny what they both did were so similar. Who do you think did the best? I have to go with Megan because I just love her, and I preferred her voice on the songs. However, I must say I enjoyed Kelli O'Hara's performance tonight. I was not as familiar with her work, and who she was, but I must look more into her work.

Well those were just my thoughts and observations. What about you?

To answer your question, I prefer Kelli in pretty much anything. Her voice is so stunning, and she has much more of a range than Megan. She's also much prettier and just has a better vibe. It was a great show, and she was fantastic tonight.

Yes, please do! She was brilliant in Bridges, Far From Heaven, and Carousel in the past two years. Treat yourself and see her in The Merry Widow in December or The King and I next year. Happy 4th!!

I was at A Capitol Fourth last night and Kelli was AMAZING. I didn't watch last years, though.

And coming from someone who has blonde hair… out of "red, white, and blue" you are going to choose a blue dress.

They are both wonderful in their own ways and there are only so many patriotic songs that EVERYONE knows.
