A Catered Affair: Thursday Matinee. GREAT IDEA!

Not sure if there is a thread on this yet, but A CATERED AFFAIR adding Thursday Matinees is a great idea. It was not my favorite show but I know a lot of people love it and I applaud them for taking there target audience into consideration with there schedule. That is shrewd producing. More shows should consider tinkering with the traditional 8 show schedule. It seems like an outdated schedule. Each show has different needs and audiences.

Older audiences, especially retirees like coming into the city during the day instead of the evening when they can be home earlier.
Simple as that.

Thanks to Wed, Thu, Fri matinees, I was able to see SEVEN West End shows in FOUR days this past January.

It's a real shame that more producers can't be tempted to tinker with their performance schedules. It's not just old people, it's people that want to have some flexibility in their schedules, and tourists that want to use their money for theatre and not their overpriced hotel rooms!

right, but the point was I could get in seven shows in four nights instead of six - that's already a savings. (and if they have the stamina, they could do that too.)

and it's not only the seniors on buses, it's students too, which is a great opportunity for groups of kids to get double the number of shows in a couple of days.

and i'm not advocating a show doing multiple two-show days, i'm talking about different shows staggering their matinees.
