Never said we were more interesting than anyonw else.
But these promos are to show off the show they are in and keep them running and I know Charlotte is not known that well outside NYC and neither is John Cullum, but if most people from your show come in early and do the promo you should too.
I can't imagine it bodes well with the cast members who do show up.
And I have other things to do but this is the place for this discussion, especially if young performers are reading and want to know how difficult the business is and how much work it is and not standing outside THE WEDDING SINGER stage door saying "oooh you looked at me in the third scene"

popular_elphie- It means that I was going to say that Charlotte got some really bad plastic surgery, because she looks nothing like she did two weeks ago. Then I realized it wasn't Charlotte.

My point was to tease EponineApoplectic because frankly, this all clearly demonstrates that it doesn't actually matter WHO is wearing the outfits in this perfectly reconstructed museum piece of a show, which is why I am shocked anybody other than corporations with spend-downs on their expense accounts would actually pay the 300 bucks for Saturday night premium seats and that the producers would have the gall to charge that in the first place.

Tons
Of alternate performers
Everytime you see this show
Tons
Of eager understudies
Move their arms and their legs just so
Fan kicks like Donna McKechnie once could do
Three bills and you'll see 'em copied by
Who knows who?
Tons
Of copies of a Xerox
As faded as an old gold vest
Worn on Sammy Williams's chest
That's fun, hon!
Oooh, sigh, did I fail to mention
You'll all have to spend your pension
To seeeee nooooo ones!

She walks on to the stage
And you know that
She's just such a star, very unique
Replaced Kelly Bundy one time for a week
Never got her big break tho
And, um, it ain't comin' with this show
That's why there are so many missed shows
Just shrug it off, and cut your loss
Tons of tweens love her
And the understudies of her
Copy one of a kind!

You have to get up crazy early to do the parade.
You have to wait around a long time and dance full-out in the cold on concrete.
You have 8 (sometimes 9) shows to do during the rest of the week.
You have to join the TV union on your third "free" TV appearance (Tonys, parades, etc) and pay dues on those appearances even if you're not getting paid to appear.

I don't blame principals who don't want to do it - once you've done one or two Macy's parades, other things take priority. Besides, what a lovely opportunity to give your understudy a major public appearance that they and their families can watch and record.

I hope Mr. Hanes doesn't catch a cold being so naked in the rain. Now why couldn't Thanksgiving be today? It's beautiful outside.

		     			I liked A Chorus Line's performance.

Off-note-Did anyone notice how bad Cheyenne was at lip-synching?

Not a big deal at all that Charlotte missed the Thanksgiving Day parade. Seriously. The parade is more for people outside of NYC to watch on TV who are clueless when it comes to Broadway. And when those folks from America's "heartland" do make it here to NYC, they go see shows like Mamma Mia or whatever Disney show is currently running. Nothing with substance.

I thought the ACL cast did an awesome job. What a great ensemble! They never fail to put a smile on my face.

You're right. Only insiders and New Yorkers saw ACL during its original run. Those tasteless tourists never went near it.

Thanks for joining the board, Step, to share that as your first post. Perhaps if you try real hard you could be a tad more offensive and insult even more people with your next one.

Her fair-to-middling ACL notices have seen to it that she remains "Jacques's daughter."

		     			Well damn, stepkickkickleapkick...

I guess I haven't been living up to the stereo type... I knew I shouldn't have seen Spelling Bee or Sweeney Todd last time I was in the city... and most certainly won't see The Apple Tree, Les Mis or A Chorus Line next time I'm in the city... because... MAMMA MIA'S ON BROADWAY! so is BEAUTY AND THE BEAST! and I, being from the heartland, only care about THOSE TWO shows!

Thank you, thanks for making it clear.

and i personally didn't know that wasn't Charlotte when i saw the performance on the parade. she looked so haggard and sinew i just thought it was her doing her normal poses. they should just rename the show to A Standby Line already.

You guys are turning this into a Shakespeare piece. If Charlotte wasn't there...OH WELL.

Charlotte's father is fighting cancer and you people CONTINUE to bash her. Where is your sense of decency or humanity. Or is this simply a blood sport?
