Out of curiousity when putting on A Chorus Line, do you get the staging rights with it and notes? I know that there's like A Chorus Line "bibles" that have circulated but is that just something passed on or actual available to put up the original choreography and direction?

They give you back stories like Cassie, Sheila and Greg are friends and have worked together before. Lots of interesting stuff like that to recreate the original.

Posted: 8/4/13 at 3:31pmI don't know about A Chorus Line, but the Stroman shows like Crazy for You, Show Boat (the 1994 version), and The Producers include a list of former assistants and dance captains for you to contact who know the choreography and she feels are qualified (and willing) to mount the show. You are not required to use any of these people, but the names are provided as an additional resource if the company would like to try to use one of them (obviously scheduling and costs can be determining factors as to whether or not a company does choose to go that route).
