I know it is not DISNEY but I still think that ANASTACIA should be turned into a stage musical.
ONE UPON A DECEMBER... and the whole stage is spinning as they waltz. It would be amazing!

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Even though it would need a major overhaul, they should do Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Who wouldn't like a musical about an apprentice witch and a flying bed?
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I 100% would love Hunchback to open on Broadway. I hope Disney confirms it soon! I also think Aladdin is a great idea for Broadway.
As well I would like on stage;
Hercules
Mulan
Pocahontas
Bedknobs & Broomsticks would make a great show.

Yeah, it would be awesome if Bette Midler could reprise her role as Winifred as well!

Yeah, I would absolutely love to Hercules on stage. I absolutely love the Muses' songs. Also, I agree that Anastasia could be really cool.
And the Aladdin show at California Adventures is actually really good, I think. That could be pretty awesome on Broadway.

I would love to see Nightmare Before Christmas as a limited engagement holiday run like The Grinch.
I had an ideal cast and crew for that one. With Matthew Bourne at the helm, I don't see any possible way that it would ever fail.

I don't think it's been mentioned in this thread, but David Henry Hwang originally got involved in the Aida rewrite because he was proposing to do a Mulan musical with them. They passed on Mulan at the time, adding "but are you interested in something else?"
If they ever did Mulan, I'm sure Hwang's first on the list.

I've said for a long time that Nightmare Before Christmas is the only movie period that I would want to see done on stage. Imagine that big hill uncurling during Jack's song. It would be amazing.

I think Enchanted would be very hard to do as a full musical. True, the songs in the movie are wonderfull but it's a very important part of the movie that she stops singing.
I'd love to see The Hunchback. A few years ago I saw a production done in a church which was amazing. I'd love to see it as a full production.
Hercules could be fantastic too.

If they do a Bedknobs and Broomsticks musical, they have to use the songs cut from the movie (and later reinstated). The material in the cut songs and scenes adds some more emotion to the story. Also, who would play Miss Price? I think Victoria Clark might be good. Imagine her singing "The Age of Not Believing."
