Aladdin would make a really good show if it was in the right hands. The entire theatre could become Agrabah withthe box seats having those canvas canopies over them etc. Hocus Pocus would be great too, but it would need a drastic rewrite to make it work on stage. My favourite is Bedknobs though - Mary Poppins has been so well received, I think Bedknobs would be fantastic on stage, although, as with Aladdin, it would HAVE to be in the right hands. The problem with Little Mermaid and Tarzan is that they are not as imaginative as the Lion king. Mary Poppins worked because it is very much a "straight" musical, although I think for another animated adaptation, the creative team would have to really push the boundary in theatre.
