Myself and two friends were planning on making it into the city on July 13th to see the matinee of this show. That being said, we're high school students who don't have the money to spend $150 on a single ticket, the student discount is only valid for those with a college ID. We were considering balcony seats, but I've heard terrible things about the Walter Kerr balcony situation (it used to be a lighting booth! you can't see anything! I felt so removed from the action! etc.) Ergo, we are considering doing the under-35 $35 rush the theater offers. The box office opens at 10 and we could potentially arrive as early as 8:20-8:30. Has anyone tried it? How early do you have to arrive in order to secure a ticket?

They only have about 20 rush seats and people have been lining up as early as 6AM

I was thinking about hiring a taskrabbit to wait in line, do you know how many tickets can be purchased at once?

The Balcony seats are perfectly fine. You just have to lean over a tiny bit in the front row- to see things WAYYYYY up front. But for $35, you see everything..I would definitely buy those if you are on a budget and you are only here for a short time.

I was up there and didn't hear one person complain - except for the 3 flights of stairs to get there..LOL
