Does anyone have any information about AGGTLAM
Website?
Casting?
Tickets?
This show is probably the one I am most excited in the fall season, so any info would really help!

So did I!
Hopefully they don't get rid of Chilina Kennedy whose voice was incredible let alone being absolutely gorgeous!

Posted: 7/29/13 at 6:40pmWell, I went on telecharge and I'm so mad right now because the only day that this year I will be available to see a Bway show is November 4 which is a Monday and Gentleman's Guide is not performing on that day. UGHHHH!!!!!!!!1

Posted: 7/29/13 at 7:52pmTo the intern in the producer's office who was forced to create an account and post this the same day in order to generate buzz, I get it, but a shill is still a shill. However, this particular show is really wonderful and I don't think it is going to need this type of tactic to get a lot of buzz. This has the potential to be a big sleeper hit.......or just a hit in general.

^ I don't think he's an intern shill given the other posts that have been made. I think he is a slightly overzealous teenager from DC. But that's just a guess.

Posted: 7/29/13 at 10:15pmLooking forward to this - particularly Jefferson Mays. Sounds like a combo of 39 Steps and Edwin Drood, with a little bit of Something's Afoot! Anyone remember that show? I remember seeing a video of it as a kid, but I have no idea whether it was any good.

I'm curious why Ken Barnett was replaced. It is a wonderful role and he was terrific. I saw the show twice at The Globe. It's much like you say Meyershultz and it is not dark at all. The story is completely different but it has a bit of the feel of Drowsy Chaperone. The pace is quick and the visual humor is more clever. This is hard to explain but the silliness in Gentleman's Guide seemed a little more sophisticated than the silliness in Drowsy.
The second time I saw it I appreciated the movement more. Mays is fabulous but I personally feel it's the direction- the pace and movement of the characters by Darko Tresnjak which makes the show work so well.
It's great fun. You will see.

Are you serious?
Chilina Kennedy was awful as Mary in Jesus Christ Superstar - I was wondering how she got to be a leading lady in an iconice role on Broadway when I saw the Show. Couldn't hit or sustain the notes in my own opinion of course .

Posted: 7/30/13 at 8:23amChilina Kennedy is actually a far better legit singer than pop belter. Her Maria in West Side Story a few years ago was one of the most beautiful I've heard. Her Evita, on the other hand, left something to be desired.
