I would love you forever if any of you know the answer to this but it is a long shot:
So I am looking for the name of the character font used in the orignal design of the Crazy For You logo.
I have searched IBDB for the production's graphic artist and they are not listed (only the advertiser and illustrator are).
Help me!
damn. if you had ask me another question about Crazy For You, I might have been able to answer it. but that? hmmmm. no idea.
but isn't it a great show?!?!?
Well, the logo was probably not designed using Microsoft Word fonts. The title was probably either hand-drawn or made using a computer. However the words "The Gershwin Musical Comedy Hit" might have been done through Word. In the very least you could find a similar font to that I'm sure. But the title letter design is most likely original.
I realize that. I just thought someone might know the company that created it or something.

Sorry I can't help, though I am very curious as to why you need the font...

Try the link at the bottom to search for the font. If you can't find it there, it is most likely a modified version of an existing font (looks like Optima but it's not quite the same).

I THINK that it is a bolded - in fact probably bolded and then stroked (if you understand photoshop) version of "New Yorker" which is a free font. That would make sense, to use the font of The New Yorker Magazine for a show about a new yorker in Arixona.
I double checked. It appeard to be a hand-drawn version based on New Yorker font.
Here's the link to download it for free:

It appears the artist has really adapted it but it's the same family.
