I know that. However, this was before Drowsy's numbers started to droop so low if memory serves me correctly. (I don't expect Drowsy to run past the holiday season.)

"A birdcage I plan to hang. I'll get to that someday. A birdcage for a bird who flew away...Around the world." "Life is a cabaret old chum, only a cabaret old chum, and I love a cabaret!"-RIP Natasha Richardson-I was honored to have witnessed her performance as Sally Bowles.

The sets look awesome, I'd probably go just to see them; and it's a classic story that can hold an audience if the book (of the musical) is well written. I just have one teensy problem.... I can't think of the (real) book's most famous line, "Tis a far, far better thing I do..." without hearing the song from Zanna, Don't! in my head . Damn, now it's going to be stuck there again all day...

Also, James Barbour is now the role of Sydney Carton, and he is absolutely mesmerizing, a true star turn.

Isn't the Year of Magical Thinking down for the count? How big is the Booth?
I know you. I know you. I know you.

The BOOTH!? It can't handle a large musical. WAY too small, and is already booked for the '07-'08 season anyway.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

What's going into the Booth, Smaxie? (and gawd, what was the last musical that played there?)

A limited engagement new play in the fall, and a play revival in the spring.

I think the last musical at the Booth was the Most Happy Fella revival, with the two pianos.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

The problem with drowsy- The sets for this musical were large, however it's not the type of show which could fill a theatre built for mega hit musicals. Though it's a crazy idea, could drowsy transfer to a smaller theatre?

Has Asolo ever sent a show to Bway? I grew up in Sarasota and have seen many shows there. I saw the ill-fated Svengali with the then little know Linda Eder that was "pre-broadway".
9/10 - Next To Normal, Ensemble Theatre
9/18 - Brian Stokes Mitchell, Cincy Pop's
9/28 - Death Of A Salesman, Wright State

Carton is going to be a BARATONE?!?! I pegged him as a tenor part...

anyway... hopefully the book (of the musical) will be better than the actual novel... I loved the story, the writing style, however was mindnumbingly boring...
What a night! I was in more laps than a napkin!
