just for starters...

Amadeus,(with wonderful musical direction & brilliant directing)
Miss Saigon,(because it's long overdue, imo)
The Secret Garden,(with breathtaking sets and great actors)
Neil Simon's "Goodbye Girl" and/or "Jakes Women", (just because I especially enjoy these two)
Arthur Miller's "The Price", ( rivetting; with a stellar cast)
Noises Off (with Patti Lupone again, of course)
Alan Ackbourn's " Absurd Person Singular", (we need to laugh without music for a change)

I'm sure I'll come up with more...feel free to add or comment. After all this is a just a personal wish list.

Miss Saigon closed in 2001. How is that long overdue?

I agree with:
Noises Off*, but without LuPone
Amadeus
Secret Garden

I would add:
Deathtrap

I disagree with:
Goodbye Girl

* There's a thread praising a NJ production of Noises Off running now, starring Harriet Harris. I'm seeing it in two weeks with high hopes.

I agree with Secret Garden...I'd also like to see The Last 5 Years...mainly because I've only recently discovered it.

ljay~ In 2010 Miss Saigon will have be gone 8 years. So again, imo, it's long over due AND I happen to think it might be among the top 20 musicals in the popularity category. Again, this is a personal "wish list". I don't have a casting "wish list" for any of these shows. But I did enjoy Patti in Noises Off.

I'd really like to see more good plays. I feel "musicaled" to death.

I wish someone would bring "The Princess Bride" to the stage as a comedy NOT a musical. I'm also looking forward to Grumpy Old Men with music by Neil Berg. Some of the music is interesting. We'll see how it looks as it starts to evolve.
