The folks at Hair have decided to film and post on their website the dance parties from each performance.
Now, I was just wondering, don't they have to alert you in some way that if you go on that stage at the end, you will be filmed? I do know that for shows like The View, Colbert Report, Daily Show etc, they have signs in the audience waiting area saying that by entering the studio you are agreeing to be on TV and that is why they have to have you be over 18 so they don't have to deal with weavers.
But you won't be on TV. I don't think that the internet needs the same kind of releases....it isn't considered a broadcast, because it's not. (Think of all the vids on YouTube -- that OBVIOUSLY do not have consent...bootlegs, caught on tape cirucmstances, etc)
Additionally, I'm going to GUESS that somewhere...in the playbill, on the insert, or posted in the lobby that there is some statement saying that simply by going ON stage implies consent. I'm sure that with all the effort they had to go through with Equity to get this approved, that the legality of it was not overlooked.
There is an insert in the playbill that says the dance party is filmed and how to find it at home.

They're required to at least warn you *if they are commercially using the footage/pictures*, if not get a release... and clearly they are.
The legalities would be interesting, but I'm sure the producers have covered them already. And if the FBI's looking for you, what the hell are you doing going on stage at HAiR?

I didn't know weavers could be so much trouble!
I have a funny image in my head of a bunch of rowdy weavers in the audience with their looms.
