I would weep uncontrollably.

Unfortunately Carol doesn't get around well these days. She's 97 and rather frail.
This seems like a good opportunity just to post one of my favorite pictures of all time. For no other reason than it just being one of my favorite pictures of all time.

Ya, when I saw Meteor Shower, they were filming for Lincoln Center and there was no advanced notice of filming. There were signs though, I believe upon entering the theater but that was pretty much it.

Thinking back to the days when I was friends wither the late Jerry Hadley, I frequently escorted his wife to shows/concerts he was appearing in. I do recall signs in the lobby of Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall advising that the productions were being taped foe television. Heck, I never minded! I was always wearing a tix for those things!
Sorry to read, but I gathered, that Miss Channing was frail now. I thought it would be great just to have Miss Channing in the trolley for the Call on Dolly number at the last show. Just to drop her newspaper and have the thunderous applause and then let Bette continue with the show. In a parallel universe I guess.

That would be glorious- And Jerry at the curtain call.
I saw She Loves Me the night it was taped and I don't recall doing anything special in terms of giving permission to be taped. I bought my tickets a few weeks before they announced they were doing the live stream though, so maybe that had something to do with it? They did have signs before entering that said that by entering we agreed to be filmed

There was talk (for a very brief moment) way back when this production was in its planning stages, about inviting Carol to play Mrs. Rose. Carol was flattered but turned them down explaining that her presence at that moment would disrupt the mood that Bette would be working to create before the parade.
The thought of Carol being rolled on atop that luggage carrier from "Sunday Clothes" after final bows is delicious, though!
