Someone thought Susan Egan looked too old for Millie. Well here is a younger looking pic along with some quotes from her on playing Millie.
Susan Egan in Talks to Replace Tony Winner Sutton Foster in Thoroughly Modern Millie
that picture isn't too much of a "revelation" - it's her headshot, and also appears on her interview on bww.com :)

I think she looks her age...actually I always thought she was older than she is!
how old IS she? that one does look better and makes me feel better, because that other one she looked in her 40s! and was quite scary.well, not her, just the fact that someone like that could be singing "old and gray at TWENTY NINE"
Thanks for the dig about the Broadway.com pic, "BwayTheatre11." You do know the difference between a studio headshot and a "live" shot from a party, right?

Per IBDb, Susan Egan was born February 18, 1970, which would make her 34 in another two months.
She's all of maybe five years older than Sutton Foster. It's not that big of a difference!!
Besides, she originated the role in pre-Darcie Roberts workshops (circa 1995) -- she has quite a history with the show. I'm sure she'll be fine.

Broadwayguy2, I dare you to find another website that shows off Broadway stars in a better light. Imagine if the film industry was covered in the way that "fans" on these message boards would seem to like Broadway covered... Imagine if we never saw photos of Tom Cruise or Julia Roberts out and about... if we only had stills from their films or airbrushed headshots to go by... Kind of stale, no? The images on Broadway.com are professional event photographs that show what the stars of the stage look like in real life. If you want to just look at a bunch of black and white headshots, then go ahead. But I think what we do is more exciting. Oh, and I think Susan Egan looks amazing... no matter what age she is.

Excuse me, sir. What a way to cause trouble your first day! And if you even knew, someone post a thread of a pic on broadway.com that made her look old when the news of her playing millie just came out. I was posting this pic since it made her look younger...don't come here posting things when you don't know the whole story! THANKS!

My "bubble letter" site is not professional...it is for entertainment purposes only. Now if you want to continue this pointless argument, PM me.
Not trying to fight with you, "BwayTheatre11." Just want you to think twice before you make flip comments.
