Didn't Brad have a fairly serious back injury?

I've seen the show twice now.. I've seen Nadine as Cassie both times.. the entire original cast.. minus the cassie.. the first time.. and David Baum was on for.. Gregory...and of course Nadine again..

but 6 understudies! whoa.. They should do what they do at rent.. just have an insert with the "cast" that will be performing that night.. its less upsetting than opening your playbill and 6 slips fall out!

I really hope there aren't that many out if I go tomorrow.

BrodyFosse - I also read in Seth Rudetsky's "Q Guide to Broadway" that one time, an understudy had two roles that they had to know, and one night both of the actors for those roles were out. The understudy sort of combined their lines into one character.

Would have liked to see that...

Saw the show tonight, understudies were on for Diana, Judy, and Richie.

Does this show EVER have a full cast in?

^ Yes. I saw the show on May 2nd and 16th (times # 4 and 6 for me) and the full cast was in. Both Wednesday matinees, go figure.

EDIT: I also saw the show May 9th (time # 5) for the Wednesday evening performance and the whole cast was in except for Charlotte. That was when I saw Dylis go on. Updated On: 7/8/07 at 12:01 AM

How was Dylis as Cassie?

Personally I thought Dylis was a great Cassie. My only issue with her was that she looked a little young to have been "17 years in the business". Also, it was her first time going on in about 3 months she said. Because of that she didn't do the backbend in "Music and the Mirror" all the way down to the floor. But I thought she was great overall. I enjoyed her much more than Charlotte, whom I have seen 6 times now.

"It was great to see Yuka Takara back. Her delivery of the line to Val about wanting just one of her boobs stopped the show with laughter."

Haha, that was funny.

I think Natalie Cortez is either sick or on vacation because judging from this thread, it seems as if she's been out of most performances this week.
