wohoo! i wonder if that means Chayenne Jackson might not go on as much because the show is ending and i'm sure they will want Adam to do as much shows as possible.

le cage, most likely starring kelsey grammar as albert, will start on dec. 9. the palace was the theater at which it originally played.

So I'm on the phone with Wicked_Elphie... she just called to tell me this.

Wow. I was literally in tears. I know, pathetic, but Aida is definitely my favorite show. But, I'll just go see it a bunch of times before it closes, and hopefully I'll be there to say goodbye.

On a happier note, as sad as I am about the slow closing, I'm just as happy about Adam coming back. I saw him in Aida when I was pretty young, but didn't get to see him again before he left.... I'm really excited to get to see him in the role again. I. Love. Him. But you all knew that.

On Ticketmaster they are still selling tickets at the Palace Theatre for after September 5. Is this just for other events? Confused...

If past is prologue, I predict Adam will return to Rent when it finishes up its Broadway run (whenever that may be)... Closed Cabaret, closing Aida.
Granted, he wasn't in the original company of Cabaret, but someone thinks he's enough of the bang you need to go out with.
Personally, I think it's hip when anyone who originated a role (and especially is on the OCR)returns to it. For those people who listen to the recording then go to the show some months and/or years later, it's good to see live in action the person you've been listening to. Updated On: 5/4/04 at 07:19 PM

YES!! NOO!! I am so happy that adam is coming back, yet so sad to see the show close. I saw Will Chase perform as Radames and he was fantastic, but couldnt compare to Adam on the CD. It is exciting to see the people who originate it come back! wow im really excited for this.

DT: i doubt Adam will return for the closing of RENT. In many interviews he said that they only way he would come back was if somehow they got the entire OBC to come back for it. now THAT would be amazing.

Here's the update...

This morning, Broadway.com said it was closing. Everyone screamed that it wasn't true. Then they wrote another story saying that it was confirmed by Disney, so yes, I'd say it's actually closing.

The issue is Adam. Again, Broadway.com wrote that Adam is coming back. Again, everyone is saying that it's probably not true, not confirmed, blah blah blah. Suspiciously, none of the other sites have said Adam's coming back. So, it's anyone's guess. I don't think they'd write it if they didn't know. Updated On: 5/4/04 at 09:36 PM
