Oh, I agree with you, Emcee. I would have rather not see him look at the audience that way. He sort of interrupted the whole scene and literally my heart stopped because just like bdwaygirl said, I really thought he was gonna say something too.

The flashes were a joke during that scene but I could just about live with them and still 'enjoy' the scene. When Adam gave the audience that look, that was it for me. You guys who haven't been there can't imagine how obvious that look was. He literally turned his head to the audience in between the lines for Entchantment Passing Through Reprise... I think Deborah was sort of worried he might lose it too because she immediately grabbed his head and turned it back towards her.

I can understand Adam, I was doing the same thing. It wasn't him going out of character ruining the scene but all the flashes.

yea the flashes went from like 5 to like 20 in just a few seconds i felt like he was going to say something because people gasped when he turned to look at the audience with the scary eyes.

The more people talk about it, the more I'm glad I didn't see it. The flashes didn't so much ruin it for me - it just made me realize the finality of it all - but if I had seen my Adam and his "evil eyes" that'd definitely have ruined it for me. He was all kinds of weird yesterday... I know he isn't normally like that, so I'm not going to let it get to me. All day I was just kind of like "aw, come on Adam...." but I guess maybe he was sad, and that's how he was handling it. In any case, props to my Adam for always being a wonder.

Millie, it wouldn't have been the press. If the press was there taking pictures, with the lenses they have access to and the high speed film that's out there, they can take pictures without flashes.

luvWICKED416, you have no idea how distracting those flashes were. I, myself, didn't feel that scene was completely ruined. If in fact, that scene was ruined for some people, Adam didn't ruin it, the idiots with the flashes did.

I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.

The picture flashing did suck, but being the behind scenes/scenery person I am, I enjoyed getting the chance to see how they made the rest of the stage look pitch black. I didn't know there was curtain like material there!

But that's just me....:-P

Speaking of pictures, I'm off to the one-hour photo now to get mine developed from Friday and yesterday. There are some curtain call ones, taken with my flash turned off. If they came out decent enough, I'll have my friend scan a few for me.

okay, someone please spell this out for me. I just cannot believe that Adam would actually break character to glare at the audience. (While I think it's definitely those a$shole photographers who ruined the moment, his glare didn't help either.) Did he like, miss his line in Enchantment reprise to glare at them?

And how was the curtain call? Flowers? Smiles? More photos? (Emcee, did you get any pics??)

I didn't, but I know someone who did.

As for Adam, I didn't see it. I'm glad I didn't see it.

Curtain call was awesome. Everyone was on their feet right away, people threw flowers... one of the producers spoke at the end. It was really sweet.

Breakingthecircle, yes.

Elphie: He spoke about the Aida "family," the alumni, the tour cast, etc... and all of the other current and future productions of the show. He thanked the fans, the cast and talked about how Aida will live on. It was nice.

yeah adam apparently got a pissed off because people were taking pictures during the most emotional scene in the show. he gave them a glare.

I just...like...was it when they're staring into each other's eyes and not saying anything? Or did he actually stop singing, look and shake his head, and then that's how the curtain closed?

Tiff, he didn't miss any of his lines but there was literally an obvious break there... one second Radames singing to Aida, next second there is a very PISSED Adam giving the audience that look. It was just so obvious, I think everyone in the front row almost drooped dead. I remember my friend turning to me saying: Wow, he is pissed.'

I already posted this on the off topic board but:
We are all just complaining about the flashes from the audience but where I was sitting the picture taking by the cast was very distracting as well. They were taking pictures (with flashes) non stop at the sides of the stage! So maybe Adam should give s***t to his colleagues too.
