oh dear...
well, I was curious, but my curiousity often does get the best of me. I think I'm going to be traumatized for a bit of time. I saw Deborah sing EAL (the *normal* way) on TV a few weeks ago, and did admit that I was indeed pleasantly surprised, despite my hatred for stunt-casting. Anyway, I listened to the remixes just a minute ago, and I'm not sure what to say. While I think that more people should be exposed to theatre than those that are, I feel like there should be a very strict line between Broadway (or theatre in general for that matter) and such mainstream things as nightclubs and radio stations. It bothers me that the line is obviously being crossed with this music, and I'm really upset by it. Easy as Life is one of the most powerful songs in AIDA, and, IMO, turning it into a nightclub or radio remix really takes away a lot of its integrity.
I don't know... but there's my two cents.
*puts in AIDA OBCR* to hear it the way it was supposed to be done.
