I am so happy you had another chance to go, even if it was bittersweet & tear-eyed ((((( Emcee )))))
(((Ruffian)))
It was definitely bittersweet, but it was something I had to do.
Mickey Dolenz can't sing. Zozer's songs are written to have a forward bright tenor pop sound but Mickey just has too much of a scratchy old man voice that sound hard and not musical at all. ALl he can to to hit the high notes at the end(the ones he even goes for) are just yelled. He can't even do the neat ad libs way up the like JOhn Kickock. That's why he sucks. He also looks like Jay Leno and makes weird faces and not scary at all.

I'm glad you got to see AIDA with Adam once more! (even though I hear his standby is really good too!)
LOL! Yes, his standby is wonderful too!
Looks like Orchestra seats are available to the 9/5 show. Looks like I'm going to be there after all.
How I'm gonna hate to say good bye but please that I will be able to say good bye.
I want to be there, but I hate to have to do that to myself, both emotionally and financially - I'm a soon-to-be "poor college student," so this is going to cost me an arm and a leg. But... what better way to say goodbye?
I think I'm gonna pay more for this ticket than any other time I saw the show but I really have to be there for the final curtin drop, I just have to be!!! So what I don't get to eat for the month. It's gonna hurt me knowing that it's the last show regardless if I'm there or not. I'm sad just typing it.
I know another show isn't gonna touch me the way this one has and I think it deserves the proper good-bye.
Yup... exactly. I was able to be there for Cabaret, and Aida is my favorite show. I need to be there, even if it means I can't eat for a while!
how much more $$ are the tickets for the 5th?
They're full price.
thanks! it sounded like the hiked up the prices. Its always sad when the last perfromance doesnt sell out, in any show.
It seems like for a while they weren't selling the Orchestra seats. I tried a couple of months ago to get seats for that day and they weren't available. I really didn't want to sit way in the back or in the front row.

yay! greast review! thanks a bunch emcee! i'm glad you had fun!
Glad you liked, ponine.
It looks like they're selling the best seats last for the 9/5 show. They did the balcony when closing was first announced, front mezz went on sale a few days ago, and it looks like they're starting the sides of the orchestra now.
Luvtheemcee, you never cease to AMAZE me with your wonderfully detailed posts, I just love them!!! I am soooo glad you had a great time, and are preparing yourself for the sad closing day!! I will be hopping over to the off topic board to read about the new stage door experience immediatley following this post!!
Anyway, since you are talking about 9/5 seats for Aida, I was just wondering if anyone has heard about whether or not they will be having the usual rush policy that day?
Aw, thank you!! I have this really bizarre ability to committ all kinds of details to memory, and I love sharing them. 13 shows left...
I'm not sure about the rush policy, but I might buy tickets anyway... just in case. It'll be worth the money.
Defintley agree with ya there, I hope you do decide to go see the last one it would be sad for you to not go if you love it that much. I purchased tix a long, long while ago, but they are in the Mezz and I am really would prefer rushing for them if they are still having it.
I'll probably be over there next week, so if I can find out anything about rush for Sunday, I'll let you know.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to go on 9/5. I keep thinking about yesterday and listening to the CD and telling myself that I can't not be there. I know that September 6th will come and I'll regret it if I don't.
You aren't helping!! LOL! <3
They keep changing their mind about rush on 09/05. Last thing I heard was that they were NOT going to do it and already wouldn't be doing it for a few performances next week anymore.

"and already wouldn't be doing it for a few performances next week anymore."
uh oh.
I guess I should check. I told a friend from school I'd rush with her on 9/3.

How many times have you all seen Aida anyway?
Four.
Emcee, you better check. I spoke to someone last week and they told me that they would definitely NOT do any rush on 09/05 and for this Sunday (08/29). They said that few more dates would be added to the 'no rush' dates. But they keep changing their mind.
