It'll be on December 13th at 7:30pm. No official details yet, but this seems pretty exciting. I'm hoping this and Miss Saigon are starting a trend.

Does anyone know when this was filmed because I its weird that there was no buzz about this last year, since professionally filming performance is a pretty big deal.

I'm so excited about this. I was able to see it last fall and was wanting to revisit it. While it wasn't the best production I've seen, it's an important one and there were many aspects that I really liked! YAY Lea Salonga and George Takei!

Wanting to see the cinema release - and guessing last minute tickets would not be a problem, I only just checked my local theaters and found multiple theaters (within 25 miles around OC/LA in California) are either sold out or have added a 2nd showing (either on another screen or at 10:45 PM). Happy to see the nice sales, at least in socal.

Yeah, even my mom, up in Contra Costa County, wasn't able to get tickets anywhere nearby a couple of weeks ago when I reminded her. (I failed here in NYC too. )

I thought I might go see this for the heck of seeing a filmed Broadway show and supporting George, but the screenings seem to be a bigger success than the show ever was! Which I suppose makes sense given how huge his social media following is, and what a small portion of that was gonna travel or drop serious dough on the production. Sold out all over the city. .
