It was great! so shoddily organised though! I turned up and there was about 20 people in front of us, then a whole load came and sat behind us and then ran to the barriers, along with about 200 people, so we ended up being behind people that had only just turned up. Then they lifted the bit blocking off being able to see the show, so people assumed that meant we were going in so ran and stood up at the barriers, despite the fact the tickets said we weren't going to be let in for another two hours. My friend who's had an operation on her knee was in her leg brace and was getting really pushed so a really lovely lady next to us asked one of the security if she could be let through early, and she was =)
While we were all squashed like intensive farming, the programme seller was around, but OUTSIDE the barrier. Programmes were £1 each, so it ended up with everyone handing money to some woman who jumped over the barrier and bought them for everyone!
I was about three rows to the front, it was fantastic! But the bloomin cameraman was in the way most of the time! I'll do a more in-depth review if people want it, but one of the top performances was Dean Collinson! He hit that top note so well it was outstanding, fantastic performance! Rhydian looked like he was going to eat the microphone, and as my friend said, looked more like Count Dracula than the Phantom, I'm not a fan...
Idina Menzel had some out of tune notes, and she Don't Cry For Me Argentina like she was competing in a beauty contest or something, far too pretty! Jodie Prenger did You Must Love Me, and frankly, she was better than Idina. (This is all "in my opinion" lol)
I'll write more, but I need to go to bed, you know how I was ill? My voice gave way half way through and now I sound like a man in drag who's been smoking for the past 50 years!
