It looks like they still haven't fixed the Gleb character. They have been working on all the wrong things. If they coast on the popularity of the film, they are going to have some disappointed customers, once people realize how different this show is from the movie.

You got all that from a minute long clip? They have constantly mentioned that it's going to be different from the movie, no ones expecting a direct adaptation.

I strongly disagree. This song perfectly describes Gleb's dilemma to let his love go free or to kill her. (Plus: Bonus points for referencing the Romanov eyes.) I'm hoping this is a sign that they beefed up Gleb. And I'm also hoping this is in act 2 because Gleb needs much more stage time

I just have to say that in every single press clip I've seen of Christy Altomare singing from or talking about this show, she is SO committed to and into this role, and seems so grateful to be a part of this new show. It just seems like she's the loveliest person, and she's clearly putting extremely intense work into preparing for this role. I can't wait to finally see her live in a few weeks!

I know it's a relatively minor point but have they really decided to not give her a red-haired or brunette wig?

I'm already disappointed it's not Sh-K-Boom.

Is that a better record company?

In my opinion, yes... but it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things I guess.

Haven't they nabbed most of the new upcoming cast albums? I know they're recording kid victory today. They recorded Groundhog Day, Amelie and I believe Hello, Dolly! Also (I think that's what was on the Amazon preorder link that was taken down)
i think Sh-k-boom got Holiday Inn and Bronx Tale

Broadway Records? I'm not sure, but it's possible. I just haven't loved any of their albums as much as the quality of the ones that come out of Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight.

People truly are excited about this. I just hope the show meets their expectations.

For me, the score (as it was in CT) is accomplished but low on hits. December is the one you leave humming, and it's basically a lullaby. There is a stunning choral moment in Act One as well. But mostly kind of sleepy. I feel like these composers are off their game as of late.

I love Once Upon a December. There is so much potential here, but from clips and pictures i've seen, I have been underwhelmed so far. I am very excited for Little Dancer though.

What would you say are the "hits" from this show? I am not the hugest fan of Journey- it has power but I feel like it's not the strongest songwriting.

One of my favorites has always been In The Dark of the Night.

Did y'all see how well this is selling?? Unexpected hit of the season?? RAMIN...what a hottie...

Christy and Derek did 'At the Beginning' together a few months ago, I know it wasn't on the song list in Hartford. So hopefully they've included it in the show, or they use it as a bonus track.

Musical theater is not meant to churn out "hits" I have literally no idea what you are talking about?????
