glad to see Constantine Germanacos in the Bway ensemble. His solo as Count Ipolitov was beautiful.

Max replaced by the guy from American in Paris who I saw go on for Jerry and was completely out of his depth. Doubt this person will cover Dimitri.
Germanacos would likely cover Gleb. He is fantastic and so glad to see him back, a high point of Hartford. That said, this show needs a ton of work from what I saw in CT. There are a ton of really solid shows that are opening this season, and this one will have to really shape up to compete.

Max picked Bandstand over this. My guess now is that this runs much longer - but you have to appreciate his commitment to the piece.

Kyle Brown didn't cover Jerry - he covered Henri.

FiddleMeThis, I've seen a lot of the incoming shows already and while I agree they have/had work to do-- they're miles ahead of something like Groundhog Day & Amelie. But OK.

Kyle is the likely Dmiti cover- but he's not the person who replace Max.
And Anastasia is in nowhere near as good shape as Groundhog Day, I don't know who you're talking to. The run was popular but there were major plot and scenery elements that will have to be reworked. GD is very solid as is, in addition to getting rave reviews.
Amelie, not so much.

I'm not talking to anyone. I saw them both and that is my opinion.
"GD is very solid as is,"
If by solid you mean boring and unmemorable. Rave reviews don't mean anything.

"My Petersburg" has been nearly completed changed. Hopefully, this also meant they made progress with Anya being more like the movie, her ballet outfit being similar to the movie's outfit, and the character of Gleb (Ramin said he does have a new number)

I'm concerned about them changing "Petersburg"-- I thought it was pretty perfect as it was...

And here's Christy singing Journey to the Past. I can't to hear this live!

I didn't realize that link had a video to the new "My Petersburg." Thanks for sharing. The first verse is identical to Hartford, then there's a lot of changes. It's still good though.

My Petersburg was nowhere near the top of the list of things that needed changing.
And my money is on Bandstand to outlast this production.

Why are you reading this thread and if you're so anti Anastasia? And I'll take that bet thank you.

Bandstand is definitely not going to outrun Anastasia...

Let's see if Bandstand can run longer than Tuck Everlasting first. Which I'm not convinced it will. As for the comparisons to this production, #TeamAnastasia. (Of course why even compare them in the first place?)

And the ticket has been bought for the matinee of April 19!!!! So excited!!!

Theatremania has a deal where you get two tickets for $140 but it for some reason isn't working? Has anyone else tried to buy them?

The rear mezz tickets are $70. I don't think there's any sort of "deal."
I just checked, it explicitly says that's the regular price.
