Just adding my voice to the chorus -- Andy was fabulous. If you ever have the opportunity to see him in this part, take it. Without question.

The part of his performance that stuck out the most for me, as others have already mentioned, is that from the moment he asks Warner who Elle is, you can tell he's interested in her... which has sadly always been my issue with Christian Borle.
