Good god, Mackenzie Phillips as Lily?? Isn't she supposed to be relatively young and attractive? She be a better Miss Hannigan than a Lily. Why not just cast her as Annie instead?

There you can listen to Marissa O'Donnell (Annie) sing Good Morning, Baltimore. Not bad!

I personally think Annie is overdone. Why do certain shows keep coming back and others never come

MacKenzie Phillips as Lily? Does she have enough brain cells left to remember her lines?

I've worked with Marissa and she is amazing. She's going to be the best Annie!

That's a little harsh. She's worked hard to battle her way back from the edge(I know I sound like an afterschool special, but so what) and has done many tours, etc., recently. I agree Lily is a stretch, but if they played Lily as a somewhat older, been-around-the-block dame (like Julie Halston as Electra in the "Gypsy" revival) rather than the usual squeaky, sex-bomb Kristin Chenoweth interpretation, it could work.

Barbara Erwin, the original Broadway Lily, had a bit of mileage on her. She went straight from ANNIE into BALLROOM as one of the 'older' dancers.
Oh! I did ACL with Liz (Grace) she is such a talent and a hard worker. Good for her!

wow..I was called back 4 times for this tour as Lily (I have been Lily in several regional productions) and now I know why I didn't get it.
Good for Mackenzie Philips...she is 100% inappropriate for this role but whatever.
Martin Charnin is C-R-A-Z-Y in the head so I guess, somehow, Ms. Phillips fulfills his ideal of Lily.
(bitter...party of two,please!)
