Let me know what subway you are in, I'd love to see that!
Ooh Emcee, I can join you, we can play the Music Man together! (you still have your music for that right?) And then...ooh I can play my band piece highlights from Rent and you can sing Rent songs loud in the subway station as you talently did that night in March.
I might even sing and dance, this is so good!
WOAH!
If you're up for dancing, I'll bring West Side Story! Soo much great stuff there, Prologue, Dance at the Gym, America, Cool, etc.
Hmmm...wait, did we dance or just sing that night? I can't remember! I feel like...we did some movement but not exactly dancing, not that there is exactly dancing in Take Me or Leave Me...so maybe we could call it singing w/ blocking.
"I might even sing and dance, this is so good!"
Emcee- If you're going to sing and dance you need to tell me the when and where so I can watch.
You need to take Paypal donations or something. I'm serious, I can't go to NYC again next week when I'm already going again next weekend, AND pay for these tickets, no matter how good the cause is.
Gah, I need to get a TV so I will have something to distract me from BWW and make me spend all my money on going back and forth to NYC.
See, the things I do!
*dances* (In privacy of own apartment)
Then again, if I get to see this, I'll probably be dancing.

Two items:
One, Andrew McCarthy just joined, with more on the way. We might have a Brat Pack vs. Rent rumble on our hands Monday Night.
Two, no one will have to busk for the student ticket price. It is not set yet, but will be somewhere between $40 and $25, not as much as $60 as was suggested on this thread.
We want students to be able to see the show, and want to make sure we make our fundraising goals, but it makes little sense to donate money so that finanically strapped kids can get an arts education that could help him go on to college, and then bankrupt them once they get there.
aw, fantastic.
Awesome, please keep us updated on student tickets!
Don't kill me...
When is it?
Ekk.
Aww, thank you peeps! I understand this is a benefit and you certainly want to raise money for it, but it is so wonderful of you to also make it accomodating for us students to be able to go.
It's this Monday, 10.24.
I LOVE the idea of student rush for the 24 Hour Plays. I've always wanted to go in the past (and to be honest, it kind of irked me that that was benefiting bringing the arts to young people didn't set aside at least a handful of tix so that students could contribute what little they could as well). Though, I am a bit miffed that this couldn't have been in the cards for some of the past 24 Hour Plays w/ MLP, Billy Crudup, Robert Sean Leonard, Philip Seymour Hoffman, etc. A minor quibble! I'll sure be busting my ass to get there on Monday, and at least get to see this one!
Thanks so much!!!

C'mon, where else are you going to see Elizabeth Berkley and Kate Burton sharing a stage?
I forgot to mention JOHN LINELL of THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS will be playing music between the plays, subbing for Mike Doughty this year.

I'm sure its a faux pas to follow your own post on your own thread, but Anthony Rapp, people, Anthony Rapp just signed up.
We may end up with more RENT cast members than RENT. (But I doubt it cause our cast is getting too big for 6 plays)
awwwww, hell, now I'm definitely going.
I totally predicted this. Now I just hope I can get a ticket. Let us know as soon as the policy is figured out!
must...get....student...ticket...
I wish I could get a student ticket!!!
apparate, Lari!
I can not skip class. The only skip-able class I have is at 11, but I have to go because I need to turn in a paper. Ugh.
So was there a definitive final word on what the student rush deal is?
Thanks!
