A.R.T.'s RHINOCEROS - Transfer Bait or Cambridge-Only Event?

The Globe just filed on A.R.T.'s RHINOCEROS and the word being thrown around is "bone-chillingly prescient," with John Turturro, Paul Giamatti and Tatiana Maslany all getting raves:

Ionesco is a hard sell commercially -- absurdism plus a two-and-a-half hour running time is not exactly a tourist-friendly pitch -- but that is three legitimate marquee names in a production people are calling urgent rather than dusty. A.R.T. has a well-documented habit of sending things down I-95.

So: does this one come to New York, and if it does, does it land in a nonprofit house or does someone try to make a commercial go of it? My hunch is a limited run at a nonprofit with all three attached or it does not happen at all. Has anyone made the trip to Cambridge yet?

Is the production as pointed as the review suggests, or is that the critic bringing the moment to the material?

Not everything has Broadway aspirations. And I'd argue you have two marquee names -- Tatiana Maslany did nothing for the short-lived Grey House. (And before you mention Network, Bryan Cranston was the ticket-seller for that one.)

A.R.T. has had a lot of high profile productions before -- many folks assumed their Evita, which had a prior production, was coming to Broadway.

I didn't LOVE the play at the Yale Rep. Was my first experience of Ionesco. Not sure if it was the performances (though I loved Reg Rogers) or the direction (though I can't fault anything specifically) or just the play itself... would be very curious to see this if it transfers, and measure the two against each other to see what it was I didn't love.
