Let's all observe a moment of silence to mourn the loss of Assassins, which fires is final blanks tonight at 9:55pm.
I will miss you.
A favorite line:
"I am a terrifying and imposing figure!" - Denis O'Hare (Charles Guiteau)

"Sondheim alluded to a possible tour in a recent Bloomberg interview, saying "A big producing company I cannot name believes there's an audience for it. If they can make it work financially, they will tour it. We'll hear very soon." Production spokespersons could not confirm any information."

Posted: 7/18/04 at 12:07pmAt least you got to see it. I had a whole trip planned to see it before its original closing date in September and I am, to say the least, gutted.

Posted: 7/18/04 at 12:07pmFrom a purely marketing POV, given the anger with Bush right now over Iraq, the marketing of this would be reallly tricky. But not impossible.

Britt, I think you just mentioned my favorite part. The dead silence as Guiteau swings the gun around is a perfect theatrical moment. And O'Hare was just brilliant.
Oh, man, I'm getting depressed. Only one performance left.

Enough that it's closing.
