Is the Coffee Pot on 50th (or is it 49th) and 9th still there? I love it as an answer to non-Starbucks coffee drinking. It's very cute, collegiate and affordable.
As a general answer to the original question, I would just walk over to 9th Ave. and find someplace. There are a ton of good, affordable places to get coffee and a bite.
Fluff is fabulous. Has anyone mentioned the Carnegie Deli? Their strawberry cheesecake is hot. And I would consider it definately in the theatre district.
totally get out of the theatre district for dessert. it's so crowded, you'll never get in somewhere. atleast, not good places. go to roxy if you just want something ok. but for the good stuff, you need to get out of time square.
