Does anyone know whatever happened to actor Lee Allen? He was in Marathon '33" in the 1960's and was nominated for a Tony. Appreciate your help

Not sure of what became of Lee Allen but...

He not only played Patsy back in 1963 on Broadway in June Havoc's MARATHON '33 but he also played Eddie Ryan opposite Barbra Streisand in both the original 1966 London production and 1968 film version of FUNNY GIRL. He also appeared on Streisand's ill-received 1967 CBS TV Special THE BELLE OF 14th STREET.

Lee Allen also played Eddie Ryan on Broadway. I have the Playbill to prove it. (Johnny Desmond was Arnstein)

Thanks to all for reading and posting. Not sure if Lee is the brother to Joe Allen, but if anyone knows where he is now, and what he is doing, please let me know. He is a fine talent.

Mr. Allen attended Abingdon Theatre Company's 2009 Fall Gala as a special guest last October, which was an edited, one-night only performance of MARATHON '33 given with an entirely new cast at Webster Hall. Here he is with Lane Bradbury, who played "The Mick," in M'33 in 1963, and also created the role of Dainty June in the original production of GYPSY four years earlier.

He was very sweet and gracious, and quite alive and kicking!

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Thanks for the wonderful pic of Mr Allen and the lovely Lane Bradbury! I had read about this concert here in the archives-
still I'd like to know what he did after leaving show biz- did he teach, perhaps? Can't find hardly any information on him.

he was my neighbor in weehawken, NJ between 2003-2006 and i still contact him sometimes. He never really quit the biz until real retirement because he worked 50 years doing shows as far as I know... great guy, everybody liked him i'm sure...

He was my landlord on 86th and Columbus for 9 years, and I lost track of him! Anyone know where he is? If so, post, please. His wife's name was Libby.

he lives between weehawken and north carolina, libby's home state, traveling between summer and winter :)

He is still alive and kicking. He is my uncle. He never stopped working really. He continued to do shows all over the country and on the QE II as well.

Great to hear. Again, my landlord on the upper west side for one of the most critical decades of my life. Lee and Libby were both wonderful to me. I wish him well.
