Renee Fleming....her vibrato is so natural.

I love the oscillation of Joanna Ampil's vibrato. It is very distinct and relaxed.

Rachel York, absolutely. Her vibrato is so soft and natural.

Julie Andrews, ditto. (While listening to Rachel sing in Camelot recently, I could really hear the similarities in their sopranos).

Marin Mazzie - lovely voice. She and Jason Daniely both sound great on Opposite You.

For other men, I like Brent Barrett and John Barrowman.

Those are the ones who stand out in my mind.

i adore Lea Salonga
i think there is a place in my heart for everybody who ever played Fantine(everyone except Daphne Rubin Vega) in Les Miserables (i played the role once and loved it!)

galindagirl2, his name is Bob Stillman, and I loved him in Grey Gardens. Great singing, great acting, and tops it all off with great piano-playing. I also really enjoy listening to his voice, especially Drift Away on the CD.

I'm going to have to third or fourth Laura Benanti. Although I think I may be a little biased since I've known Laura since I was two (my mom did several community shows with her when I was a toddler.)
