Posted: 6/2/11 at 12:59amI've always wondered, lets say ex you're in Billy Elliot/N2N, and you wanted to see the other show. Are shows scheduled in a way that members of one show can possibly see another show? Because I think it'd be a shame if, say, In the Heights was playing, but you were doing Little Mermaid and couldn't go.

Yes, it's difficult -- sometimes you can catch a show if they have one that plays a different schedule than yours.
Actors do get to take time off...and some will do it to catch a show...or at least build it into their day off. While doing their own show, however, they don't get to see everything that's new.

Posted: 6/2/11 at 1:35amI would be so jealous of the cast that did a Monday or Sunday night show instead of a Wednesday matinee... They can see verything. They can be ON broadway and SEE broadway... Talk about having your cake and eating it too :)

Like others have said, it depends on your schedule.
PRICILLA doesn't have a Wednesday show, or at least didn't during previews, so I saw Tony Sheldon at LA CAGE for the matinee, and then I saw Nick Adams & Will Swenson at MORMON that night.

Posted: 6/2/11 at 6:57amI also believe that sometimes one of the last dress rehearsals (during the day) is open for other b'way professionals. (I know I've heard of it happening, but have no idea how often it does.)
