Let the casting speculation begin! I know nothing about the show, though. boo.
Marc Kudisch as Oscar Jaffe
Rachel York as Lily Garland
See, the real question is where are we putting Adam and Raúl? Obviously.

Adam as... well, someone. He always does these. As does Raul. Both these things are good things, right emcee?

Awww, it isn't JCS like we thought/wanted it to be.
Not that I'd be able to go see it anyway. But there is hope for a CD...
I have to actually GO this year. If they're both in it, my head will explode. That's a lot for me to take!
Marc's thrilling "I Rise Again" at Broadway Under the Stars was all the audition that he needed...
awww man... why not JCS?
well, this is the musical version of "Twentieth Century", right? at least I liked the play...
On the Twentieth Century is the musical version.
Great Ensemble songs.
Very disappointed with this choice. I've been to all of the others, but I think I am going to pass this year.
Wasn't Chenoweth announced at one point to play Lilly Garland in a revival of this show? Might mean we see a cameo from her. And I'll second Marc making a big, thrilling performance.
They should have chose SEUSSICAL.

I need to do my research on this musical. There need to be parts for those two, or I won't be a happy camper.
I would love to hear Carolee Carmello as Lily.
Kristin or Rachel for Lily
Elaine Strech as Primrose
Seiber as Oscar

I've gotta say, I was hoping for something totally different. And, I agree with Em. I wanna see a couple of talented men involved with this.
I must say I'm also disappointed. Don't love this show. There are some fun songs in it but...I dunno, I've gotten used to the more 'rock/pop' shows and this one isn't from what I remember. It's funny but...I'm curious to see who does it.
Remembering the music, it's not the forte for so many people who've done this in the past that I'd love to see come back, Adam, Raul and Lillias for example...
Yeah - I'm a bit let down. Actually a lot let down. To go from shows like Dreamgirls, Funny Girl, and Hair to this show...mrehhh. I love Seth R. soooo much but not too thrilled at the Actor's Fund for this choice. It's a bland show. See who they cast, that might change my mind, but the cast would have to blow my mind for this show. I could barely sit through a regional production of this.
Speaking of crazy amazing casts - I need to get my Hair CD
Sigh.

Disappointing, yeah, but I'm thinking we can trust Seth to make it something worth seeing.
If a certain someone who's been in California of late is cast, I go.
I'm not familiar with this show at all.
ONe of my favorite scores. Very operatic and complex.
It'll be interesting to see who they cast. Chenoweth was announced for the Reprise production/concert in La, and was replaced by Carolee Carmello, who I'd love to see in this show.
Get the cast recording!
Great cast.
I would have to say it is an interesting choice. Makes me miss Madeline Kahn though.

JCS would have been perfect for the man Emcee is talking about. However, now that I think about it, there is only one female role, and no real big stars sing as low as Pilate goes... meh, I love that show, I'd still rather they chose that...
Was this show a big hit when it had Madeline Kahn, Kevin Kline, et,al? I always hear people referring to it fondly, but rarely hear about a revival in the works...why not?
For casting:
Definitely Carolee Carmello as Lily Garland. The role of Oscar needs to be filled by someone who can ham it up pretty well, maybe a Nathan Lane type?
I am only familiar with the play and Lombard/Barrymore movie, though...
