I like Pascal a lot, but what he did to this classic? No. Just no.
Oh Christ, if he sees this thread he's gonna lose his SH*T.
I like him too, but he doesn't handle random strangers' criticism very well.

I'm 6'6". I can take him. LOL.
Love Adam Pascal. Love the song. Not very happy with the intersection between them. What a jarring arrangement.
Wow! That's just bad. And by bad, I mean AWFUL.
I enjoy Pascal when he's singing the right type of material.
This isn't it.
Is this is Valjean audition?
This song is not meant to be sung as rock anthem but otherwise his performance in not bad. The only awful thing here is the choice of the song. And the orchestrations.

It doesn't even sound like anything close to the original. Why even bother? He said something along the lines of tackling traditional musical theater songs, so he's not just seen as the Broadway rock guy, yet all I hear in this version IS the Broadway rock guy!

He can sing 'Bring him home' for his Valjean audition...I liked his take on it!
I wonder if he even understands these lyrics and the character behind this song. This is in no way a happy song, but that arrangement makes it seem like it is.
A horrible misstep for a singer I usually enjoy listening to. ![]()
