I find it amusing that someone who thinks Adam is screechy has a reference to Kristin Chenoweth in their screen name.
Emcee hon, the world will never agree on anything. You have the right and reason to love Adam, don't worry what they say.
"Sporkified? Now that's even better. You'll have to get him to say both in one sentence!"
oooh next time i see him at a stage door (hopefully that wont be too far away ) I will ask him to do that. haha
Personally, I think Pascal would make a worse Fiyero than Mcintyre. He isn't suited for much more than Aida or Rent. Perhaps a better choice would be Gavin Creel.
Noday, NO YOU WON'T!! LOL!!
DickonDefysGravity, dignity and exhaustion are preventing me from saying anymore. I relinquish my Adam Pascal fire extinguisher. *steps down*
I give up. For now.

Don't give Emcee a hard time! You've been doing it on other threads, just let her be happy, ok? I know we all have free speech and all, but you don't need to beat one person up on multiple threads.
My personal opinion is that Adam is more versatile than we've seen, Cabaret showed that he does have potential outside rock/pop musicals. Don't call it 'til you see it.

As a Cabaret fan first and foremost, personally I did not like Adam as the Emcee. However, I think Adam really is a talented actor who can and will do more than just one style of musicals. I would consider it a loss if he decided just to stick with one thing. I'd honestly even be interested in seeing him in a straight play.
Thank you, insomniak. Give it a rest. Theater-wise, I've had a hard few days.
Chrysanthemum, wow. Seeing Adam in a straight play? I AM impressed, and very much respect what you just said, even if you didn't like him as Emcee. The comment about the play - that's a brave thing to say! See? There's a way to gently state your opinion. You get points for NOT almost giving this girl a heart attack.

do you think that if they did turn wicked into a movie they would bring back the blue crystals?
theyd probably be easier to see as crystals in a movie than i live performance i think
Why should you be so amused that I think Adam Pascal is screechy but still love Kristen Cheno? Come on, Cheno has a phenomenal instrument and comparing the two is like comparing fine crystal to gravel. I just happen to not enjoy his screeching/growling through every song. Personally, it makes the material all sound the same to me, i.e. listening to Aida to me feels like "Oh here's that song from Rent again."
One IS allowed to express one's opinion (positive or negative) so grow up! I have nothing against AP personally and I'm sure he's a lovely person. I'll just avoid seeing him perform live.

I'm amused because I just found Kristin Chenoweth's picture next to 'screechy' in the dictionary.
I love my diamonds in the rough, personally. Everyone has their fine crystal, a dirty rock can shine up beautifully to something no one expects.
her voice isnt really screechy...its more like...ditzy

Just to elaborate on the blue 'crystal' thing. Weren't they just tattoos in the book? Blue diamond tattoos? I don't think they were actually jewels embedded in his skin...
no they were actual jewels
"Movie? I think the rights are available but no one has picked them up yet."
Universal Pictures is one of the show's producers, I'm pretty sure they have first dibs at filming the show or already own the rights.
The first time I listened to Fiyero on the CD... I thought it was interesting, because he sounded like Adam Pascal, only a mockery. To me, it sounded like he was trying to be like him.
I think that Fiyero is too small of a role, because he is a big star now. It would be fun to see him, but I'd rather see him in a bigger role... becuase I would go see a Broadway just for him
