Adam Pascal's "note" in AIDA?

"I think people who have not actually heard him sing WILL FORGET live have this impression he must sound like a guinea pig that is about to get slaughtered."
I will address you as Your Majesty from here on out, just for having come up with this statement. I've said it sooo many times: it doens't sound bad, it's just a little crack most of the time!!! It's a 3-hour musical and he cracks his voice -- in transition, on a difficult vowel sound -- for 1/2 a second!!!
And it's not a dance. But I'd love to see you do it anyway, Your Majesty.
*edit: and yes, I've seen it live. He doesn't sound bad, and at least during his first round, it's not a dance.

'I love when he beat his chest.'
You make him sound like King Kong!!! I know which one you mean though
Amasis, what can I say? Please move to NYC soon, you can come and visit me at my Palace... actually I spent a lot of time at 'a Palace' recently... Oh my God, I really must be a Queen!!!
'QM - you specialize in hand movement - I specialize in non dance movement!'
Is it me or does this sound a bit naughty, Undiscovered? It's me, right? Or Amasis?

I was looking at Undiscovered's comment above, and I thought, "Nah, QM will take this one."
But I have heard that you are good with your hands, QM. From more than one person.
I don't even want to know about the non-hand movements this early in the morning (where I am)

*Her Majesty falls off her throne*
You didn't just say that, did you, Amasis?
Let's be careful, people will get the wrong impression. LOL!

Please do, Undiscovered! We both know Amasis, you DON'T want to encourage her!

(Clearly throwing this 'thinking before I type' concept out the window)
And all this with mixed with talks about Adam beating his chest king-kong style!! Guys!! A client can be calling me any minute now, and just what am I supposed to do?

insomniak, during the end of FFTB when he's singing the last verse he did this little thump, thump on his chest, gets handed his sword, thrusts his sword in his sword holder as he finishes the last little bit with his arms extended up.
I also enjoy when he did the little squatty thing as he sways a bit.
Can you tell I'm not very good at descriptions??

'Can you tell I'm not very good at descriptions??'
Everyone who has seen the show recently knows exactly what you're talking about, bdwaygirl!
And what about all this noisy 'breathing in' through his nose during FFTB? He does it twice during FFTB ('nothing is an accident, we are free to have it all *breathes in through nose*).
When I saw it for the first time, I thought someone smelled in the audience and he'd picked up on it.
Amasis, behave!

"Amasis, behave!"
Yes, Your Majesty.
Really, it must be all those cold medications I'm taking. I almost always behave otherwise. Almost.
Okay, as you know I really love Adam, really. But now QM just reminded me of something I've always wanted to ask, especially from those who have seen *other* Radames. In Like Father Like Son -- on the line where it goes, "It isn't very hard to tell, evil's a distinctive smell." Okay, so my first time watching that show, Adam clearly stuck his face close to John Hicock's neck and took a deep breath. (which plays tricks on MY nose and made me feel like I'M smellng something funny, so I hated it). Anyway, I thought,... MUST you take that line so literally?? So is that a director's choice, as in did other Radames do it as well? Because.. because..., I can't imagine him sticking his nose so closely to Mickey Dolenz.
edit: bdwaygirl, we posted the same time so my post still had the 'major crisis' title.
but I can't think of anything either in changing this, so I'll just follow your lead.

too many comments, not enough bandwith.
And yet somehow, that was enough.
ps. And LOOK at that new icon!! I think I have to go back to the ocean.

Emcee... you may be envisioning me as a pair of little plastic fingers typing on a keyboard, but I am a real, live person!!
So you noticed how *you* guys have threadjacked this topic? All of a sudden it's Adam Pascal Love all over again.
Nice icon, though, Undiscovered.
