Addams Family Question

Hey people. I was wondering why Pugsley doesn't have an alternate in THE ADDAMS FAMILY. I thought that there was some sort of a rule that said kids have to have an alternate. JoJo in Seussical had one, Flounder in Little Mermaid had one, Young Fiona in Shrek had one, so whats the deal here?

Theatre is my life. No one can take that away from me.

This is just speculation but i think it is because the role is big enough that they bill one person having the role but there is a well rehearsed understudy on the side. Like Annie is billed as one girl having the role and same with secret garden.

I know the former national tour Pugsley understudy frequents the boards, (jetts27 or something) let's see if he shows up.

Yeah, I know that there is a standby for the role.

I believe it has to do with the AGE of the performer. I don't know what the breakdown is, there isn't a standard for under 18 -- it breaks down furhter.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
