I know everyone thought it was a flop with the amount of times it was run, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. My question is: Is there a recording or a DVD of the musical so I can show my girlfriend?
She loves broadway and I have gotten her really into the Addams Family songs, but there are no high quality recordings I can find of the play. Any help would be appreciated.
The only professional recording (to the best of my knowledge) is the official one made for the archives. This can be viewed at the NY Public Library with permission. (and permission happens when you have a reason to view.)

No, but it doesn't have to be anything quantifiable. Usually "research" gets the approval. I believe you have to arrange the visit in advance....and someone will likely post the link for you soon.
Broadway version or revised road version?
Chicago and broadway at least.

The Pre-Broadway version in Chicago is on Youtube. The National Tour version in Tampa is also on Youtube.

I mean i've seen the OBC of Chicago and the Broadway version on youtube, but the quality is pretty lacking. Which is why I asked in the first place, but thank you ![]()
If you're doing the show, or hoping to do it, look for the Tampa version, as that's the rendition of the show currently licensed. You actually get a bootleg/soundboard recording of the show as part of the licensing process from TRW now, I believe, since the cast recording doesn't accurately represent the show.
