I just don't get why people buy subscription packages? Can you not buy tickets to the events you wish to go to?

Usually, depending on how difficult a ticket the show is. Also, your seats depend on what is available and subscribers tend to get the best seats. For me, subscribing means I can always see the show from my seats in the seventh row, center. I also have my tickets on a specific night of the week and, if an emergency comes up, I can exchange the tickets for another night.
