If there was a musical based on Disney's Aladdin who do you would be cast as Aladdin and Jasmine? My choce for Aladdin would be Matthew Morrison only becuase he has a full head of hair. For Jasmine, Ashley Brown if she wears a black wig.

The musical is at Disney's California Adventure (next to Disneyland) its a full on broadway style musical (exceept its about 50 minutes long) the sets are amazing and the special effects are even more amazing. when aladdin and jasmine are on teh magic carpet it flies out over the audience. i thought it was an amazing show. the acting is pretty corny and not the best but its worth seeing b/c it feels like you're seeing a broadway show.
That's pretty cool... I bet it'd be even better on Broadway though.
Seriously if it was put on Broadway and a lot of effort was put into it (as well as money) and it was executed well, it'd be an amazing show.
It has potential to be the most popular Disney Broadway show IMO. It is definetly the top of all Disney movies... so I really think they should consider making it.
Wasn't Eden Espinosa Pocahontas in Disneyland? It would be so cool to bring that show to Broadway with her as the star. Kind of sentimental or something. Also, there is no Aladdin show right now at Disney World in Orlando but I'm going to be performing down there during my internship in a couple of years and I would be extatic to be the first Jasmine!!
I doubt this would be a feasible stage show. Let's leave it at the theme park and let at least a handful of broadway houses have actual new and innovative musicals playing in them. Wasn't the magic of the genie all about how he could change himself into a million different forms at the snap of his fingers? How would this be done onstage? Eh, maybe im a bit bitchy here, but i HATE the disnifying of bway. In a couple of years, i think disney plans to have 5 shows running at once. 5! Yeesh. Enough!
^true... some things would be hard, but be creative and plus I still think it would be a fun show, as most disney shows are.
I enjoy them and although 5 is a lot, not a huge deal IMO, but eh, that's just me and I'm bias... cuz I love Aladdin.
Aladdin is my all-time favorite disney. If it was made into a broadway musical...I'd watch. Although I am getting a bit sick of more and more disneys coming to the broadway. Now Tarzan and The little Mermaid. Maybe there should be a rule that only one or two disneys can play at a time. I just want some variety. But that's just my opinion.
And yes, I would LOVE for Mathew Morrison to be Aladdin. Though, his voice doesn't seem quite right when I think about the voice from the movie. But I want Mathew to be on stage in anything, doesnt matter what heh.

As much as I hate Disney and their three awful Broadway shows, I think that "Aladdin" and "Newsies" would be perfect for the Broadway stage. I can't think of any other Disney films that would be good on stage.

We are doing the Junior verson... AHHH, its gonna suck probably.
jafar = terrence mann
that's dream casting, IMO. i don't care about the rest of the characters. lol.
Actually speakin of casting for everyone, who do you all think should be aladdin, genie, jasmine, jafar, the king, abu, etc... ?
Aladdin is awesome and deserves a turn on Bway. I always watched it growing up and i would still if it were put into a musical.

Johnathan Freeman could continue on and play Jafar on stage too. He's a fantastic Roger DeBris - he has my vote for anything!
Actually, a lot of the voices in the film were by people who have stage history.
I sadly was unable to catch the Aladdin show while at DCA last week. I wanted to, but we missed going into the theatre by literally a minute and didn't want to wait around the next 2 hours for the final show. Bummer.
And it's Abu, not Aboo.

I put Abu in my reply above...
it was the person's reply in the beginnin as well as me following him (guess the way he spelled it caught on even tho I knew it was abu).
You know, this is startin to remind of me of the Aladdin video game i had for super nintendo when I was way younger... I loved that game!
