Alanis Released Her Version of SMILING

Alanis Morissette released her single today for "Smiling" which is featured in Broadway's "Jagged Little Pill". It's so great to be able to hear her sing this song.
As a lot of people know, I'm the biggest Alanis fan here (and I will fight for that title) so I love being able to post Alanis news here. :)

Thanks for posting this! I was literally just talking to my friend about hearing an Alanis version of this song after seeing Jagged Little Pill

JAGGED LITTLE PILL was my first ever CD- quite the memories.

Thanks for posting- what an other-worldly voice (and lyrics) - distinct and recognizable.

I remember seeing THE AFFAIR OF THE NECKLACE (starring Hillary Swank) in college - gorgeous score, and I knew immediately that it was Alanis singing and was pleased I got it right when I checked!

This was one of my favorite parts of the show (Elizabeth Stanley knocks it out of the park) and it's great to hear Alanis sing it. Between this and Reasons I Drink I'm starting to have high hopes for her new album.

SMILING is one of the best parts of the show. Obsessed with this song now. Hoping to catch Alanis on tour this summer.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Perhaps if ticket sales for the show start to wane, she'll pull a Sara Bareilles and step in as Mary Jane Healy.

I've thought of this possibly happening. Though not anytime soon. 1.) Sales are fine currently. 2.) Alanis is going out on tour this summer. If anything, it wouldn't happen until 2021.

Nothing could make me happier than Alanis on broadway (even in this show), but she has a 6 month old baby so I don’t see this happening anytime soon.
