Alice Who?

I'm going with Jordan on this one Marin had a few bumpy parts, but overall she was good. Jason seemed unsure of his Act 1, but his Act 2 made up for it.
For those who thought NEXT TO NORMAL wouldn't have a life outside Broadway, well it's now playing in 4 cities, 9 different countries and has been translated into 6 languages.

Alice Who?

^I see the "unsure" bit more as a character choice than him really being "unsure". Jason's Dan is clearly at a loss as to how to help the woman he loves. When I saw them, he looked so heartbroken and his voice cracked at the sandwich scene, and it seemed like a conscious choice more than "Uh, what do I do now?"

Heartbreaking!

Alice Who?

Thrilled to hear they are great. I only get to NYC about once a year, so I RARELY see shows twice, just because there's also something else that piques my interest. However I do have tickets to see N2N again just because of the new cast.

Can't wait!

Alice Who?

I just got back from the matinee and agree wholeheartedly. I saw Marin's first performance as Diana and since then she has taken this character and made it totally her own. I know that's a cliche, but I don't know any other way to say it. I was moved during parts of the show where I had previously just watched, such as her amazing scene with Meghann during "Maybe." After Marin's first performance, I thought that if Alice was on fire, Marin is a slow steady burn. However, after today's performance, Marin is officially on fire, and burning down the house.

I personally didn't like Marin's portrayal of the role in general, but the one part that did stick out for me that I liked her in and she really pulled me in emotionally during was "Maybe". Her and Meghann have fantastic chemistry.

GatorNY,

I thought the same thing when I saw the show a week and a half ago!

Alice Who?

The highlight of the show for me was "How Could I Ever Forget". I have never really cared much during that scene, but she and Jason were heartbreaking!
