Yes, they are two completely different performers and sure, they don't even sing the same the voice part, but that's not the point.
Pick one and explain why.
I like Alice better.
Continue.

Hmmm, food or water?
Both are necessary for musical theatre survival.
edit: If forced to choose, I'd go with Alice.

You know, I'm not being fair. It is like apples and oranges. But can they help if it one is rotten and the other is ripe?
I think Alice is winning by a long shot here.

Well, Andy, lets be reasonable. One *is* thicker than the other. :)
My vote goes with Alice. I don't feel it necessary to go about my reasons.

Perhaps the proper poll would have been:
Alice or Emily/Lauren?

Ha...but no.
Lauren over Emily, no contest.
I love both Alice and Lauren, but have only been sexually harassed by one of them, so I cannot reveal my final vote as I am no longer a unbiased party.

OH NO YOU DID NOT!!!
Put down the baby and step out the kitchen, woman...you're about to be put in your place!
(Figuratively speaking, of course. If I wanted to literally put you in your place, I wouldn't have asked you to leave the kitchen.)

Jesting, child, jesting. :)
I think Lauren is a talented lady. Just not at the caliber of the two previously mentioned, but each humble opinion to herself.

This topic is tired.
How 'bout them politics, huh?
Anyone watch Lifetime tonight? Lou's baby is going to be OKAY! Yay.

Alice all the way.
I adore The Skinner but she really needs to clean up her act, and show up for her performances.

Posted: 9/26/05 at 10:32amWhy must these two women still be considered a pair just because they did a couple shows together several years ago? Being a twin, I naturally protest against someone having to be one half of an equation!
#19re: Alice or Emily
Posted: 9/26/05 at 10:34amWell, they did do 2 albums together too. They were very much a pair for quite some time, but I don't think that is still the case.

Wow, mabel. You never got an Emily understudy?
It wouldn't suprise me if the woman had an understudy at her own cabaret show.
#21re: Alice or Emily
Posted: 9/26/05 at 10:37amYes, they can hardly be a pair with Emily's track record. Alice on the other hand, never misses a performance.

Posted: 9/26/05 at 11:01amWhile I adore both Alice and Emily, I think I'm gonna have to go with Emily. I feel like as a performer she has a lot more depth than Alice does.

This is a tough one! But after thinking really hard about this:
EMILY.
I just find her voice a bit more versatile and colorful. Alice has a great voice too, but I just prefer Emily's voice a bit more. Emily's version of "The Money Tree" is simply breathtaking!!
