Cheyenne and the rest of the cast will be performing on The Today Show tomorrow (Friday) morning...they are singing, "C'mon Everybody".
For all those who complained about Cheyenne having blond hair in his last national television appearance, here's a chance to catch him again!
I will be watching! To Bad I can't be there. Picture it-Humpers the Camel Holding a huge Sign that reads "HUMPERS LOVES CHEYENNE." All on national television :o).
Love Always,
Humpers the Camel
Yes! I have been looking forward to this since I founs out about it last week :). I was hoping they would do like the summer concert stuff where they do a few songs.. but maybe they will again then.. that would be cool.

Did anyone else watch the performance? LOL.
Loved it! Cheyenne looked amazing and the whole performance was top-notch!
I can't wait to see ASU but I have to wait and see it with Chrysanthemum. It'll be worth the wait!
BTW, Cheyenne looked alot better without that nasty blonde wig!:)
I think they did a great job.. I'm so said I didn't know it was going to be outside or I would have cut my History midterm to go watch it.. I thought that casue it's winter they would be inside a studio
.. I'm slacking on the fan thing.. Anyway I thought they did a great job and it's like 300 times better in the show with the sets and costum changegs and there is more daning and such! YAY for Jenn Gamby!!!

Great!
Haha, Katie Couric called Cheyenne "honey" and said something like "He is so cute!" after they finished...I think that OFFICIALLY means he is a big huge star now. :)

I wish I saw this thread last night. Damn.
I just saw the show last night. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but I really LOVED it. I enjoyed it a lot more than I did "Mamma Mia" and it reminded me a lot of a mix of "Hairspray" and "Bye Bye Birdie." It's worth it for Sharon Wilkins belting the CRAP out of her eleven o'clock number... but everything else is awesome as well. Some of the jokes had me peeing on myself, and the big Ensemble numbers were all amazing, as were the solos!! I never thought I'd say it, but consider me a fan!!
I watched them on the Today Show this morning and they were awesome! It's such a talented group of people and I definitely think it has great potential.
Okay, I don't want to be a big downer, but I really didn't like what I saw this morning. Reminded me of just YET ANOTHER mix between BYE BYE BIRDIE & GREASE! The first being one of my least favorite musicals to date.
Anyway if Im looking for the positive I would say it would certainly have to be Jackson's voice, persona, and all around performance.
The worst part of this mornings performance for me was the awfuly insipid coreography - fun, maybe but sooooooo unoriginal and unmoving to me.
DOn't get me wrong, that one segmant looked a lot more like MAMA MIA than GOOD VIBRATIONS, so I guess that is a good thing in this day and age (ugh!) And Im certianly not judging the entire show from this one segmant, but I would have hopped they would have wanted to put something better out there to draw in audiences.
After the performance Katie told Cheyenne, "You have those pelvic thrusts down!"
And with that I HIGHLY agree! :)
Did they change the choreography from chicago?
I noticed the end was different (or was that just for tv)
and that Loraine's clothes were changed, not the Mayor's. (was that changed just for tv?)
I also saw that Cheyenne has a different shirt now. I think I liked the white one better than the black one.
It was a good performance, but I wish they did do the number "All Shook Up" instead of C'mon Everbody. So then I could see Leah Hocking as well as Cheyenne.
They changed the end of the choreography so that they didn't all fall on the ground... in the show they all fall on the ground, but at the end, just posed instead.
In the show, Lorraine's clothes are ripped off from the drap to the purple, so that was the same. Everything was pretty much the same as it was in the show except for the end of the song.
And the pelvic thrusts were VERY nice :)
chinkie azn jai ~ In chicago (at least when I saw it) it wasn't the Mayor whos outfit was changed on stage it was The woman who runs the shoe store in the show. They changed it from the begingin of the NYC tryouts to Loraine. Which i think is a nicer touch casue in the show you also see more of her mom not leting her near "the roustabout"... so thats why shes not changed into color at that point.. Also for anyone who saw it in Chicago some of the outfits that the ensumble where wearing today, they now only wear at the end of the show and they have new outfits during that sceen.. just some of them..
thanks pennylou. I wish I could see the changes myself.
...mmmm, pelvic thrusts...and how cute were they when Chey forgot what song they were singing and Jenn chimed in. Adorable!Loved those low angles for Cheyenne. Everyone sounded great, made it a lot of fun, even though they were clearly freezing. Great job by all. When I realized they were singing outside, I was afraid of another Urban Cowboy debacle, where everyone was frozen and then the audio mix was horrific. Seriously, if GMA can have people perform inside, shouldn't Today make some more space? Singing in an alley ain't that exciting anyway.
When little shop was on the today show they where inside.. it was a smaller cast but still.. thats why I thought they would be in side as well. I thought it was really cute to when Cheyenne said "All Shook Up" and Jenn was like "NO where sing 'come-on everybody FROM All Shook Up" lol it was Adorable! Also when Katie was like "you must be the handsome stranger" and he was like "sometimes" lol
Has anyone else notice how horny Katie Couric has become? Whenever I tune in, she's drooling over some hot guy. Can't say I blame her...but it was fun seeing Cheyenne be like, "uh huh, right..."
