Wicked10 is not even a thing unless YOU ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING WITH IT.
I don't think the problem is lack of people wanting to play the role. I think it's a lack of people who YOU would actually want to see play the role. Trust me, I've been to enough auditions to know that to find someone who can sing that role 8x a week AND get the comedy aspect of it, is hard to find.

Alli Mauzey was a riot in Cry Baby. Her song, "Screw Loose" makes me laugh. I would imagine she'd be good as Glinda.

I'm aware of that. My point was I find it hard to believe they can't find anyone capable. It's not a super difficult role, and the material is fluff. I'm sure there are tons of young female actresses who can handle the part.
